We are living in some pretty tough times. It may seem as though there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but there is. Opportunities are all around us. It is difficult to do, but the most important thing is to keep a good attitude toward life, family, and friends. Our philosophies, our core beliefs, are what must guide us and determine our income level - not the economy.

Opportunity still exists in America today. It is well known that the best way to get ahead is to start a business of your own. Often, a home operated business is a good way to begin because of the many tax advantages.
My story is not unlike many of you. I read an article that came across my desk titles "Replacing the baby-boomers". That was ME ... us! Having taken an early retirement, I set out on an adventure to build my own dream. I believe everyone in America is building a dream. The only question is, who's dream is it, yours, or your boss's? I wanted to build one of my own. Unfortunately, the business I chose hit some very rocky ground, and so I tried to re-enter the job-force - at least temporarily - as I tried to guide my business through troubled waters. But, being a baby-boomers, and being in technology did not bode well. I was too expensive, and my talents were just not as sharp as industry demanded. The fact that my experience was broad really didn't seem to matter much. It would have been great in a management position, but since my management experience was thin, getting interviews was pretty hard to do, and rarely went on to a second interview.
It was about that time that I found what I think is the best part-time position in America. I found a company that was well founded with over 38 years of record breaking history. I found it was in a fledgling industry where there was simply not competition. What a winning combination. You hear about ground floor opportunities all the time. I could start one tomorrow. But that's no indicator the business is sound. In fact, it indicates just the opposite. I needed an opportunity where the company was solid. I found it. Yet, the industry was ground floor. Now that is indicative of a better chance at success.

The next thing I learned was, not only was the industry ground floor, but there was simply no real competition. I know, you hear that all the time. There are a million vitamin sales opportunities. Each one says they have no real competition. No offense intended, but let's get real. I am not talking chemistry or human physiology here. I am talking perception. After all, if you are going to market a product, perception is the only thing that counts. And in human perception how does one convince enough people that their vitamin or juice formula is better than all the millions of others?
But what I found out was that in this industry no one had yet put all the essential elements together. There are a few companies that have pieces and parts. But what this company had build over 38 years was simply to hard to duplicate. In the day when bank pockets were far deeper, one division of CitiGroup thought they might attempt to duplicate the idea, but after through study they realized the risk of failure and the cost were too great. If ya can't beats 'em, join's em. So they did.
Now I am in the business of helping others learn what I learned, but with a much accelerated learning curve. I want to spare you the trial and error. In a sense, I am applying to you for a job. Let me help you be successful. Let me show you what my mentors have taught me. The company has spent 38 years perfecting the business model and services in an emerging industry that is finally reaching the point of maturity where everyone will finally realize the need. This is your chance to recognize an opportunity and place yourself in front of it as a surfer would position themselves in front of a wave. That wave is just a swell, but now is the time to mount the board as this wave moves faster to crest. You don't want to watch it from behind. Nor do you want to watch it from the shore. You want to be positioned in front of it so you can take advantage of the accelerating growth.
